the perpetual cycle where you hire, train, and nurture juniors into seniors is dead. thanks to genai the leadership who lives in a different reality thought junior work can be done by genai and they only need seniors so the junior pipeline is now broken.
not yet broken for you yet? juniors are now relying genai to ask questions more than your seniors for daily tasks. they talk to the dopamine machine that agrees with whatever your junior says who has no idea about what they are meddling with.
regardless of which one is your reality today, we are not going to have enough seniors to make a bank to next or two cycle of ceos. what a shame, huh.
